AHVRP board begins work on strategic plan

The Association for Healthcare Volunteer Resource Professionals, an AHA personal membership group, recently announced its 2016 board of directors. The new board is meeting this week in Atlanta and will begin its tenure by developing a 2016-2018 strategic plan. “2016 is a year of continuous change in health care as changes in the system continue to evolve,” said Board President Angela Smith, system director of volunteer services for Summa Health in Akron, OH. “As volunteer resource professionals, we are expected to lead through change and bring volunteer resources to both our organizations and greater community….Being an AHVRP member empowers volunteer resource professionals to be effective change agents and the organization provides support through times of professional change and development.” For more on the 2016 board, visit www.ahvrp.org/about/board_2016.shtml.
