The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services will accept comments through April 5, not April 11, on its proposal to establish a home health prior authorization demonstration, the agency said in a correction notice yesterday. CMS is accepting comments on its intent to collect information for the project, which would apply to Medicare fee-for-service coverage of home health services in Florida, Texas, Illinois, Michigan and Massachusetts, according to a Feb. 5 notice. While the Feb. 5 notice cited an April 5 deadline for comments, a subsequent notice cited an April 11 deadline. CMS plans to discuss the proposed demonstration during an Open Door Forum in March.
