Hospitals care for injured from Louisiana tornadoes

AHA News Now

Louisiana hospitals treated at least 39 people injured after several tornadoes yesterday tore through southeastern portions of the state, according to the Louisiana Hospital Association. Gov. John Bel Edwards declared a state of emergency in the state, where the storm system damaged dozens of homes and businesses and left thousands without power. Some of the worst damage was in eastern New Orleans, where a powerful tornado struck an area heavily damaged by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
