San Antonio-area hospitals continue to care for victims of Sunday’s mass shooting at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, TX, that left 26 dead and more than 20 injured. According to press reports, University Hospital, Connally Memorial Medical Center and Brooke Army Medical Center treated victims, ranging in age from 5 to 72. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families,” said Army Brig. Gen. Jeffrey Johnson, BAMC’s commanding general. “…The patients we received have significant injuries, which will change their lives. They will require significant healing and rehabilitation. We have already started addressing their physical, mental and spiritual needs, which we will continue to do during their treatment here at BAMC."
