Next AHA members-only Town Hall features federal update, ACO panel

AHA's Town Hall Interactive Webcast on Tuesday, April 26, at 4 p.m. EDT will provide an up-to-the-minute assessment of congressional action to tackle the debt limit and other legislative and regulatory initiatives and a discussion with federal officials and others on the latest legal and antitrust guidance for accountable care organizations. AHA President and CEO Rich Umbdenstock, Executive Vice President Rick Pollack and Senior Vice President for Federal Relations Tom Nickels will provide the legislative and regulatory update for the members-only webcast. In the ACO segment, AHA General Counsel Mindy Hatton and Jonathan Diesenhaus, a partner with Hogan Lovells specializing in fraud and abuse counseling and litigation, will discuss contributions to the ACO proposed rules from the federal antitrust agencies, Department of Health and Human Services' Office of Inspector General and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. In addition, Josh Soven, chief of the Litigation I Section of the Department of Justice's Antitrust Division, and Vicki Robinson, chief of the OIG's Industry Guidance Branch, will answer questions about how their respective agencies propose to address barriers to ACOs.
