NIH launches database of drugs associated with liver injury

A new National Institutes of Health website provides evidence-based information for health care professionals and researchers studying liver injury associated with prescription and over-the-counter drugs, herbals and dietary supplements. The website offers a searchable database of about 700 medications available in the U.S, which will be updated regularly with new information. Drug-induced liver injury is the leading cause of acute liver failure in the U.S.
